Features of CADEC - PSM

• CADEC - PSM captures the metadata of the CAD files and updates the PartMaster information. 

• It captures the product structure (part number and quantities used in multi-level assemblies) and it has its own PartMaster database. 

• Every new document is reviewed by name, description, specified custom properties and geometry properties, modified and approved status. If the new part is found unique, then its details are appended to the PartMaster. 

• Once the data is added to PartMaster, any authorized user can access the metadata without having to access the actual CAD data. 

• The information can be useful for product costing and process planning. 

• CADEC - PSM also captures the cost information like material weight, matching costs, labour costs, etc and maintain a rate master to update the cost.  

• With the product structure information combined with part metadata, it can give bill of materials for design / development documentation, combined BOM and exploded BOMs for material requirement planning.
